Munich/Paris, 23 November 2016 – LPA Munich and LPA Paris have advised Blue Elephant Energy AG on the acquisition of a French solar park. The acquisition was structured as a share deal, where the shares in a French special purpose vehicle were acquired. Both parties have agreed on confidentiality regarding the purchase price.

The solar park is located in the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and generates a total capacity of 12 MWp. It has been in operation since the beginning of 2016.

Blue Elephant Energy AG was founded in the beginning of 2016 and is specialised in the operation of solar and wind parks as well as other infrastructure projects in the field of renewable energies. For further investments they have access to an equity capital of approx. EUR 300 million.

The seller is a project development company located in Saxony which, in addition to the development of solar parks, is also active in the field of wind farm development.
